Meeting UKRI terms and conditions for funding

We place terms and conditions on the grants we award. These are updated regularly.

The terms and conditions you need to follow will depend on the funding opportunity. We reserve the right to terminate at any time.

For a full list of policies, guidance and legislation to support good practice, see our Good research resource hub.

Terms and conditions for research grants

You need to comply with these terms and conditions if you are awarded a research grant.

Additional terms and conditions for other grant funding

Some funding opportunities require you to meet additional terms and conditions. This is as well as the standard terms and conditions for grants.

Normally additional terms and conditions will be enforced for programmes with an international element where you will be expected to complete project work outside the UK or with a non-UK based partner.
