Panel guidance and protocols - EPSRC

Panel member guidance

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) provides guidance to all panel members on their role as a panel member and on the panel meeting process. These guidance documents should be reviewed by all panel members ahead of a panel meeting. We would particularly advise panel members to read the quick reference guide in the panel member guidance to understand what they need to do ahead of the meeting.

Panel meeting protocols

Panel protocols also need to be read in conjunction with the panel guidance.

The protocols cover:

  • code of practice – Seven Principles of Public Life
  • conflicts of interest
  • handling approaches from reviewers
  • protection of ideas and scientific fraud
  • equal opportunities
  • meeting questionnaire.
