You do not need ESRC funding to use many of ESRC’s data resources. Many of them are available to businesses and other organisations as well as researchers.
If you’re applying for ESRC research funding
Discuss your research proposal with the facility or service you want to use before submitting your application.
Also check ESRC’s guidance for applicants for what to include in your application. You usually need to get confirmation that you can use the facility or resource. You might also need to get a technical assessment – for example, if you’re applying for high-performance computing time.
