In the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), we asked our researchers to tell us about their work and the challenges of tackling climate change.

Anthony is the Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Clothing Solutions.

Anthony’s work is aiming to transform the fashion industry to a more sustainable place by facilitating circular business models, like clothing rental and clothing resale.

As a new innovator, ACS is now part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

The one thing I hope comes from COP26 is the elimination of VAT from sustainable clothing. At ACS we pay at least the real living wage, we protect the environment and we look after staff welfare.

We are competing with global fast fashion companies and we need to level the playing field and we need to encourage consumers to be more sustainable in their relationship with clothing.
