You must be eligible for EPSRC funding and:

  • an active researcher within the remit of EPSRC’s information and communication technologies (ICT) theme
  • have a record of engaging the public with research.

You must be a researcher living in the UK and eligible for EPSRC funding.

SBRI: digital transformation of Hanoi Metro Line 5, Vietnam

Organisations can apply for a share of £300,000, inclusive of VAT, to deliver feasibility studies to support digital innovation for the Hanoi Metro System in Vietnam.

Building responsible neurotechnology research capability

Apply for funding to develop a research network for neurotechnology.

You must be:

  • based in the UK
  • eligible for EPSRC funding.

Your network is expected to:

  • help form new interdisciplinary research communities
  • promote responsible research and address ethical issues in neurotechnology
  • set a research agenda and fund small feasibility studies.

Global cooperation feasibility studies

UK registered small or medium-sized enterprise businesses can apply for a share of up to £1.5 million to carry out international feasibility studies.

Future flight challenge phase three: strand one

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £65 million to develop and demonstrate integrated aviation systems and new vehicle technologies. This funding is from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

Healthcare technologies for infectious disease resilience

Apply for funding to address infectious diseases, for example COVID-19, through healthcare technologies.

You must be:

  • a researcher based in the UK
  • at an organisation eligible for EPSRC funding.

Your project should be in one or both of these areas:

  • building resilience in healthcare systems
  • preventing, controlling, diagnosing and treating infectious diseases.

Infections and immunity partnership: Jan 2022

Apply for a grant to support new partnerships between diverse groups of researchers in Infections and immunity.

You must:

  • be a UK-based researcher based at an eligible research organisation
  • have at least a postgraduate degree.

Making environmental science equal, diverse and inclusive

Apply for funding to explore and improve equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within environmental science.

You must be employed by an eligible UK research institution.

Your project can last up to six months. It must start no later than 1 December 2021 and be completed by 31 May 2022.

NERC independent research fellowship 2021

Apply for funding to become an independent research fellow.

You must:

  • be an early career researcher
  • hold a PhD qualification or expect to submit your thesis before the fellowship interview.

You are not eligible to apply if you hold a tenured academic post or academic position at lecturer level.
