AHRC responsive mode: Catalyst Award: round three

AHRC awards to support researchers without prior experience of leading a significant research project to accelerate their trajectory as independent researchers, to unlock their potential and build leadership and convenor experience.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for AHRC funding.

Industry Impact Fund

The Industry Impact Fund (I2F) is designed to support UK industry through access to STFC facilities, skills and expertise. Funding is available to specifically help companies overcome difficult product, manufacturing or process performance issues by leveraging STFC’s unique capabilities and world-class analytical techniques.

Individuals based in a UK academic institution can apply for a share of up to £800,000 to join the cyber security academic startup accelerator programme (CyberASAP).

Eureka Quantum collaborative R&D Multilateral 2024

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £2 million to develop quantum technologies with organisations from Eureka partner countries.

EPSRC quantum technologies career acceleration fellowships

Early career researchers (ECR)’s can apply for funding to accelerate their careers to become world-leading researchers who will:

  • champion a vibrant and networked UK research community
  • support innovation activities needed for growth in this sector

You must be hosted by an eligible UK research organisation.

2024 BBSRC Fellowships scheme

Apply for funding to carry out independent research within a host laboratory and gain leadership skills.

You are not eligible to apply if you hold or have held any post or position at lecturer level (or equivalent). You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for BBSRC funding.

 

Predoctoral clinical research training fellowship

Apply for funding to undertake a PhD.

Your research can focus on any area of Medical Research Council (MRC)’s remit to improve human health.

You must:

  • be a registered healthcare professional
  • be at an appropriate point in your training to undertake a PhD
  • show plans to pursue a research career
