  • investigating how the infiltration and movement of pollutants will be amplified or mitigated by a changing hydrological cycle
  • supporting the improvement and development of tools to monitor and measure pollution.

Understanding changes in quality of UK freshwaters: Programme Champion

Apply for funding to lead the development of the UK freshwaters research programme strategy as the Programme Champion.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for NERC funding.

You must submit a ‘notification of intent’ before your application proposal.

Engaging the public with environmental science: 2022

Apply for funding to develop new ways to engage the public with environmental science.

Main applicants do not have to meet standard UKRI eligibility conditions.

You must work within NERC’s remit as a main or co-applicant.

You can also apply to observe the assessment process.

Knowledge transfer partnerships (KTP): 2022 to 2023, round two

UK registered academic institutions, research and technology organisations (RTOs) or Catapults can apply for a share of up to £8 million to fund innovation projects with businesses or not for profits organisations.

Surveillance and diagnostics for antimicrobial resistance
