Land use for net zero – Hub (LUNZ-Hub)

Apply for funding to establish a coordination and translation hub for the transforming land use for net zero, nature and people programme.

The full economic cost (FEC) of your project can be up to £7,800,000. UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will fund 80% of the FEC (up to £6,250,000).

Funding is available for up to 40 months, with a fixed start date of 1 November 2023.

You must be based at a UK research organisation to be eligible for UKRI funding.

NERC centre for doctoral training: open funding opportunity

Apply for funding to deliver a NERC centre for doctoral training (CDT) to address priority or emerging training needs within the environmental sciences.

Applications must be centred within NERC’s remit but interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary CDTs extending more widely across the breadth of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) are welcome.

NERC funding is available to support three CDTs each in receipt of 24 notional studentships across three annual intakes.

You can apply if you are employed by an organisation eligible for UKRI research grant funding.

Organisations may only be the administrative lead on one application

Organisations that are not eligible for funding may act as collaborative partners.

Automotive Transformation Fund feasibility studies: round four

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £2 million. This is for business case feasibility studies to support scale up of the UK’s zero emission automotive supply chain.

EPSRC postdoctoral fellowship, May 2023

You must have either:

  • a PhD
  • at least four years’ experience in a relevant field by the start of your fellowship

Candidates with more research experience may prefer to apply for the open fellowship or open plus fellowship.

Your fellowship can be up to three years long and may be held part-time.

This early career opportunity is only open in selected research areas.

You must be hosted and supported by an eligible UK research organisation during your fellowship.
