The data protection policy applies to all personal data UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) process throughout its life cycle, from collection to destruction.
The policy introduces data protection principles that UKRI must adhere to the roles and responsibilities of UKRI employees in:
- ensuring awareness and training
- managing personal data
- developing new systems and processes.
It also addresses data subject rights, including the right of access, data sharing and approaches such as privacy by design.
