This review aims to identify what existing or new knowledge is needed to advance understanding of multi-hazard events and their impact, as well as the methods and approaches available to assess multi-hazard risks in both policy and practice. It focuses mainly on work in the UK but also highlights relevant international practice.

It was compiled on behalf of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) by a British Geological Survey consortium, supported by Natural Hazard Partnership partners: Health and Safety Executive, Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and Met Office.

This is the website for UKRI: our seven research councils, Research England and Innovate UK. Let us know if you have feedback or would like to help improve our online products and services.
