In August 2021, UKRI announced a new open access policy for publications that acknowledge funding from UKRI or any of its councils.
This assessment outlines:
- the potential positive or negative impact of UKRI’s new policy on individuals with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010
- how UKRI can mitigate negative impacts.
