The embedding diversity in research design policy is for all research supported by the Medical Research Council (MRC) that involves human participants and their samples, or data, and extends to research involving animals and studies that use animal tissues and cells.

Details

This policy applies to all applications involving human participants, samples or data, submitted to opportunity deadlines after 1 September 2023. The policy will not be applied retrospectively to research funded before the implementation date. This policy should be read alongside MRC guidance on sex in experimental design.
