Details

This form is in place to ensure that the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is made aware of any changes representing a significant deviation from the activities and structures contained within your original Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) or Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) proposal.

While NERC is providing DTP and CDT grant holders with a large degree of flexibility in managing their awards, this form has been introduced to:

  • provide quality assurance
  • ensure NERC is aware of developments within the DTPs and CDTs
  • ensure the expected level of training excellence is maintained across all of NERC DTPs and CDTs

NERC request that DTPs and CDTs submit this form ahead of the implementation of any significant changes.

For the purposes of this document, NERC consider any significant change to be one that, if it had been in the original DTP or CDT proposal, would have the potential to have altered the outcome of the review process.

The document includes a series of boxes which ask for:

  • the original activity or structure of the DTP or CDT
  • a summary of the proposed changes
  • the rationale supporting the need to make the changes
  • an explanation of how the implementation of these changes will be managed
