Establishing a narrative

To deliver real system change across construction, a narrative needs to be established.

All projects resulting from the challenge, and their outcomes, have been detailed as stories in our catalogue.

Together these stories describe a coherent narrative of a sector moving together to deliver value rather than cheapness.

This resource can be used to build new stories from the various elements to continue to show how positive change can happen.

Progress and achievements

The transforming construction challenge brochure details all of our investments and their progress at the end of 2021.

This includes all:

  • collaborative research and development
  • demonstrators
  • academic research.

Independent evaluation

In February 2022 an independent report on the impact of the transforming construction challenge was published.

This evaluation by Frontier Economics details evidence collected on the challenge performance against its original objectives.

Research and development centres

Learn more about the work of our two principle research and development centres:

They were established to work with sector stakeholders and put the ecosystem in place for a new system delivering net zero buildings using digitally-driven platform processes with greater assurance.

Meet the team

Delivering the transforming construction challenge has required a diverse and energetic team.
