We recruit new members to our boards and panels every year from July to September. We welcome applications from talented people from all backgrounds, and particularly encourage individuals from currently underrepresented groups to apply. These groups include women and ethnic minority researchers, and researchers with disabilities or long-term conditions.
Criteria for board and panel members
You should have expertise in the research areas identified in the vacancies for the year, and be able to exercise judgement across a range of research and policy issues, within and beyond your areas of expertise.
You should have experience of leading or conducting respected research and a successful track record of applying for research funding.
We also require experience of peer review and funding panels.
We are looking for team players with a commitment to the mission of MRC and supporting objective and fair approaches to funding research, career development and positive research culture
More details will be available when the vacancy opportunities are live in July.
