In the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), we asked our researchers to tell us about their work and the challenges of tackling climate change.

Maia Elliot is a Project Manager and works on the UK Research and Innovation’s Global Food Security programme.

Maia explains that she has a tough task as our food system is complex. Her work focuses on getting different stakeholders and groups to work together to tackle the climate crisis and in turn increase our food security.

Maia says:

One of the projects that I run is a research storytelling competition for early career researchers. I’ve also run a multi-stakeholder dialogue where I worked with a professional storyteller to translate cutting edge research into four short stories!
